Cook-N-Craft

GOOD MORNING my sweet friends & HAPPY NEW YEAR! :)
Today we are showcasing a new segment called "Cook-N-Craft"!  We thought it would be FUN to share what we are cooking up while we are crafting so when dinner time comes around, it will be made already! We will be doing this once a month & not only will you get new recipes....you will ALSO get new projects as well! It's a WIN WIN! ;)  This will also give all of "YOU" a chance to share YOUR favorite recipe with US!  If you would like to do so, you can share your favorite recipe with us in the comments below!

So first up, is my card I made! You can see in my video below exactly how I put my card together using a couple of products!

MCT Products Used:

Here is my video for you today! :)

Okay, now onto my
"Veggie Soup" recipe!
First of all, ever since I became a vegan, I keep my food processor on my countertop so I can have easy access to it! Using the food processor makes my veggie soup come together SO VERY QUICKLY!  So I just wanted to show you how perfect & even my slices of veggies are! :)

~ I started off by using some olive oil & cooking chopped onions, small potatoes & carrots.

~ Next I added fresh garlic, 2 14oz cans of organic kidney beans & a 28 oz can of organic petite diced tomotoes

~ Next I added my FAVORITE Veggie Bouillon stock (I added 6 tsp of this veggie base to 8 cups of hot water to make the stock) I also added a small 8oz can of tomotoe sauce.

I always call this my "secret ingredient" ;)
~ Next I added some homemade pesto! Now it can be store bought of course! I just added around 2 TBLS

~ These are ALL the spices I used!  Now, I do NOT measure my spices, I basically eyeball everything & go by taste! So keep test tasting & just add what you think you need more of! You TOTALLY do NOT need ALL of these spices, just use what you have on hand! The only spice I don't recommend using a LOT of is the Turmeric.  I only used a couple of shakes of that one! ;)

After cooking this soup over the stove for 45 minutes, I finally added my zucchini & cooked it for an additional 15 minutes!

Sorry all of my pics were not very good, but I was sick when I made this so I just took the pics using my cell phone!

~ So at the end, I added some fresh spinach & this soup was SOOOO YUMMY!  Hopefully you will be able to give this a try! :)

So, this is just an example of what you can make with what you have in your refrigerator already without having to go the the store!  I know you are probably thinking "WOW, so many spices?" lol..... that's how I've always cooked!  I can't help myself, I just like my food to have LOTS of flavor! :)

Now onto my AMAZING team!!!  Don't forget to click on each name to visit each blog to see the full recipe of their dishes! :)

also, Miss Katie's "Sweet Potato Minestrone"

also, Miss Liz's "Chicken Taco Soup"

Well, I REALLY hope you ALL enjoy our new segment!  I hope this will help those of you who need new recipe ideas for the new year!

Also, if you missed out on my post over the weekend,  this is what I announced:
It's time to make room for new products in the New Year, so we're having a SALE! Be sure to check out awesome deals that are marked down already in our Sale and Retiring Items categories in the MCT Online Store. Then use the code NEWYEAR to receive an EXTRA 10% off! Sale ends Friday, January 6th @ 11:59pm PST.

Next up, like I mentioned in my video above,  I re-opened up my Etsy shop!  I ALWAYS get asked if I sell my cards, so I thought I would re-open my etsy shop & do just that! Like I also mentioned in my video,  I do not offer any "special orders" on cards at this time.  I am only selling what I make at the moment.  If you would like to check it out, you can do so HERE.  So for those of you who have been asking me now for a couple of years, here ya go! :) I hope this helps my friends!

Thank you ALL for stopping by, have a FABULOUS day & I will see you all back here SOON! :) xoxo

  9. Happy New Year! So happy your feeling better! Love this idea and all the soups look yummy! I use lots of spices too when I do my veggie soup. When I'm at my parents' I use everything from their garden, peas, okra, potatoes, corn, carrrots, onion, jalapeño, garlic, etc then I peel fresh tomatoes and as it starts to cook that turns into a stock basically. We love it anyways.... thanks for sharing!

  12. Happy New Year, Miss Emma, your card is adorable! I love it! Your soup looks delish and I can't wait to try it and all the others that will come this way. Winter equals soup here in Pa, also. Cook-N-Craft will be delightful! I honestly am not good with knowing how to load pics on computer so I will just tell you...
This was my mom's soup: 4 cups flour, I add salt but don't measure, and then eggs till dough sticks together. (noodles) Rolle it out and make strips Add to ham in a pot after it is hot, add some potatoes cut in pieces and voila! I have never put in any veggies with it but I am sure carrots or something else added to it would be super too, but I make it without, probably because my mom did. :) Hugs
