P.S.  I apologize for not having a "new & FRESH" project and video for you today.
Well,  last night my son (Anthony) came in my craft room to ask me for all of his forms that he needs for his first day of "Freshman" orientation, which is today! Of course, I tell him SO PROUDLY, "I already put all of your emergency forms & the other important forms along with your money to get what you need in your backpack already!" ;)  Of course, right at that point, I am the BEST MOM in the WHOLE WORLD, well I thought that at least! hehehe!  So he comes back & says "Mommy, these are Baby Aaron's forms…I think you put his in my back pack by accident???"  OMGEEE…..then I realized that I made a HUGE MISTAKE!!!! LOL…. I can actually laugh about it now, but LUCKILY I had another set of forms from last year that we "thought" we misplaced! So, I had to fill everything out all over again, but THIS TIME for the CORRECT SON!!! hahaha!  At least for their "official" first day of school, which is this Thursday, I don't have to do this all over again for Baby Aaron! ;)  HAPPY DANCE! :)

Made in Minutes!

Good morning my sweet friends & welcome to another "Made in Minutes!"
I hope you ALL had a FABULOUS weekend….for me….it was busy, but FUN!  I don't know about all of "YOU", but I think my tummy is STILL full from all the YUMMIES we had for the Super Bowl yesterday! ;)

Okay, for my card today, it took me around 17 minutes to make! I tried a technique that I learned from Day 6 from my Online Card Class!  The technique was called "Masked Stripe Background".  I wanted to try something using a heart mask just to see how it would turn out….and I actually LOVED it!
Basically what you do is put some masking tape, washi tape or post it tape & place it on your paper & start inking! After each time you ink, you are going to move your tape each time until the area you like is all complete!  I probably could've finished this quicker, but I kept stopping & over analyzing it after each time I moved the tape! lol…..
As you can see in the picture below, after I removed the heart mask, it came out super clean & bright!

Here is my finished card in its entirety!  At the end, it landed up being a SUPER SIMPLE card that was REALLY easy to make! Just as long as you don't stop after each time you move your tape to analyze it, then you will be just fine!!! hehehe! ;)

Made In Minutes

Happy Monday my sweet friends & welcome to another "Made in Minutes!"  I fully intended on having a video for you, but my plug to my video cam was NO WHERE IN SIGHT :(  So 'of course', AFTER I finished my card, I went to take a pic of it & there was the cord, sitting right next to my regular camera~! lol….. I said a few "choice words", then I was over it! hehehe!

Well, I actually time myself for my card today & it took me 17 minutes to do from beginning to end! It could've been shorter, but I decided to be PATIENT & let my watercoloring dry on its own before I stamped my sentiment & added the stitching! For my card today I used the Tim Holtz distress ink for my watercoloring! I do have to say that this medium has been my FAVORITE type of watercoloring by far! So if you decide to take the watercolor class, I highly suggest using your TH distress inks because they are PERFECT for it ESPECIALLY if you have them already!

I decided to do my entire card by watercoloring it because I really do need some more practice AND the best part is it is soooo much fun to do! I am REALLY HAPPY that I decided to take this class only because I can do a variety of cards now since I do get bored EASILY!

For my card, I first stamped the eiffel tower using TH Broken china ink, then I stamped the flourish using the TH Victorian velvet ink.  Next I grabbed my container of clean water, then took a paintbrush, dipped it into the water & just brushed it over the images using a detailed water color brush.  Next I took my ink & smashed in onto my craft mat, then took my brush again & just did some shading on the eiffel tower only!  Next I smashed the 3 colors TH Milled lavender, TH Antique linen & TH tattered rose, then spritzed water on the 3 colors & just used my paint brush & water to paint the background of the card!  Then I used the TH Victorian velvet ink to stamp "Springtime in Paris" sentiment onto my card then let it all dry by itself! Which it wasn't too bad because I had my fan on in my craft room! ;)
Last I stamped "merci" & just used my sewing machine to do some black stitching to kind of off set the black ink I used for my sentiment!

I then used my distress tool to distress the edges a bit then layered it onto a piece of card stock that I inked the edges w/the Broken china ink so it can coordinate w/the card! I tied some hemp twine & added the little bling to the eiffel tower! I used foam tape to adhere it all done….then VIOLA! ;)
