Made in Minutes

Good morning my sweet friends & welcome back to another "Made in Minutes!"

I am happy to be back on my regular schedule this week!  Last week was a little rough for me! I KNOW it's because I need to get a "normal" sleep pattern & I just can't!  That week before I was getting around 4 hours of sleep each night which was NOT good! So it all caught up to me last week.   I know EVERYDAY I make FRESH healthy juices, smoothies & I am even eating better, but all of that does NOT mean anything if you do not get the proper rest your body is BEGGING you for! Let me tell you, by body was BEGGING me for sleep! lol….. So I took it easy last week, made it to bed at a DECENT time & now I am feeling TONS better! Sometimes you just have to just do NOTHING in order to recharge your batteries! So that is my GOAL, is to take better care of myself & LISTEN to my body! ;)
Sorry, I didn't mean to get off topic, I just didn't want you all to think I just abandoned all of you last week! lol…. ;)  I am back & HOPEFULLY my sleep pattern will STAY on track so I can feel like I am part of the world again! ;)

Okay, now onto my cards for today!  I actually created 2 cards for you!  I was EXCITED to come across these new Distress Ink color combos that Miss Shari Carroll came up with over on Simon Says Stamp Blog!
I was VERY HAPPY to come across these Tim Holtz distress inks color combos because this WILL make me use MORE of the colors that I have!  I know we are all used to using ONLY a quarter of what we have & I KNOW these charts that Miss Shari came up with will help me TONS! You can even download them too!

I did some masking for my card today! You can see in my video below exactly how my card came together!  For this first card,  I used the #5 Color Combo which was WORN LIPSTICK, STORMY SKY, SCATTERED STRAW & SHABBY SHUTTERS.  Instead of using the SHABBY SHUTTERS, I decided to us another green color I have from Studio Calico Color Theory "LIME LIGHT".  It is a premium dye ink that I've HAD & never used it! So I used that instead~!

For my next card, I used the #6 Color Combo which was SHADED LILAC, DUSTY CONCORD, SPUN SUGAR & PEELED PAINT.  Again, instead of using the PEELED PAINT, I used that same "LIME LIGHT" colored ink by Studio Calico
