Scrapping the Little Things

Good morning my sweet friends & welcome to another "Scrapping the little things!"
First off, I hope you ALL had a FABULOUS 4th of July weekend!  As for my weekend, it had to be a "restful" one.  Last Thursday I had to go to the ER for really bad stomach pains :(  The Dr. "thought" for sure I had a kidney stone so he made me an appt with radiology the next day.  I had an ultrasound done & THANKFULLY it was NOT a kidney stone.  So my Dr. emailed me & said that I had a stomach virus AND he advised me to stay away from any meats except for chicken and turkey.  Unfortunately for the last year or so, I've been feeling REALLY crummy after I eat any red meat OR pork!  The thing is that I KNOW I suffer after I eat it because I LOVE my steak, but this time, was a WHOLE DIFFERENT ball game!  It was similar to the same cramping I get, but 100 times WORST, I seriously felt like I was in labor!! :(   It's just funny how your system can just change on you like that :(  So, it looks like I will have to learn some new GOOD recipes for chicken & turkey just so I won't get bored :(  LUCKILY I can still eat seafood…..THANK GOD! lol…. ;)   So all I did for the last 3 days was rest & now I feel TONS better!!!!  My boys & my hubby took GREAT care of me! ;)

Okay, now onto my AMAZING design teams projects!  Click on each name to visit each blog to see MORE!

  2. Oh my goodness! Prayers being said for a speedy recovery! I don't want to alarm you and pray this is just a coincidence but my mom had the exact same thing recently. All of what they thought was wrong ended up being normal so they kept running tests and it turned out she had some type of scaring in her stomach, intestines, and other digestive organs. She just had surgery on Friday and now have found something else requiring surgery. For some reason only specific foods cause the pain in early stages of this condition because they are harder foods to pass through so please if you keep having it especially with other foods, ask your doctors to do further testing because eventually the scaring gets worse and then all foods will cause the pain. Like I said I pray it's just a coincidence but I just had to share my mom's experience just incase. Take care sweetie!

  5. I am so glad you are feeling better.
I can totally relate. I have been diagnosed with 3 different digestive issues. Each one with it's own food restrictions. Let's just say my gastro doctor said I was a "gastroenterologist's dream". lol.
    Sending healing hugs
