Teacher Card! - Episode~25

Good morning my blogging friends! I filmed this video lastnight for a couple of viewers who had questions about using the markers w/the gypsy & they wanted to see me actually cutting from the gypsy to my cricut! I usually don't show how I cut anything out on camera, because, I only have 10 minutes for my video & I mainly want to focus on teaching different techniques that this little AMAZING machine can do! I want to use my Gypsy to it's fullest potential, that's why I am constantly using it & teaching myself how to use it better! So for my card today, it is a "Teacher Apprection" card for Anthony's teacher! He wanted me to make a card that he can color in! So this was the PERFECT opportunity to use the markers in my cricut! Anthony was SO excited that he got to use my "Stampin up Pastels" chalks & my "Copics" to color in his card! It was sooo cute watching him because he is such a Perfectionist that he reminded me of "ME"! As soon as he was done coloring, he said "Something's Missing" that's what "I" say ALL the time!! lol.... So he wanted me to write that he was "Grateful" for his teacher, THEN I remember about that stamp set from PTI!! I think it came out ADORABLE & Anthony did an AWESOME job!!! I hope you enjoy it also as much as I did! :) I am a PROUD MOMMY!

Anthony wanted me to take a picture of his card "BEFORE" he decided to outline it & add the "Grateful" stamp! He wanted to have a "Before" & "After" picture! lol....

Here is his "AFTER"! Now my son was happy with the finished card!:)
Thank you so much for visiting my blog!! Don't forget your teachers this week, let them know how much they are appreciated!! Have a GREAT day my friends!:)

  7. Very cute card. I love the outlining. I do have a question....Would this same technique work for make words for titles??? Would the key be using a slightly smaller size on the original, like when you layered. I hope I'm not rambling, but do you understand what I'm talking about? Thanks!

  8. Sandra, the card size landed up being 4 3/4 x 5 & I had a square envelope that was 5 1/2 x 5 1/2!
You can size it to make it fit into a regular A2 size envelope!
    hugs,
    Emma:)

  10. Hi Patti,
Absolutely, it can work for words, titles~etc. just size it how ever you want! Now keep in mind, you don't want to size it toooo tiny (ex.1/2inch) because of the markers are a little thick! unless you can fine thinner markers! Hope this helps!
    hugs,
    Emma:)

  13. Super cute!!! I love how Anthony colored it! Everything turned out so adorable. I know his teacher will LOVE it! I'm also glad to know that I used my markers the same way you do, if I do it the way you do then I know I'm doing it right, whew :). I figured the key was to not unload the mat, so that the images could line up perfectly again.

  23. You make a great design team. Anthony, I know both your mom and your teacher are proud of you. As a retired teacher I know how much it means for a student to take the time and effort to help in making a gift. Great job!!

  24. You are brilliant! I am looking at the card, wondering how in the world is she cutting that thing out?? It took me forever to figure out what you were doing... which explains why you are doing videos, and not me :) Love your son's coloring.

Thanks - can't wait to see what you do next!
