MCT Guest Designer: Katie AND a Winner!

Hello, My Creative Time friends!  This is Katie, from Crafting with Katie.  While Emma is at the hospital taking care of her sweet Baby Aaron, her design team and some other special guests will be sharing some fun projects with you.  This is a card that I made for Emma, since I know she loves purple!  

I got the idea of making a cloud shaped card from my design teammie, Cathryn.  You can see her adorable card here.  I used my Gypsy to weld two of the cloud shapes together, sized at 5 1/2" width (real size), and cut out this card base in lavender cardstock.  This made the card the perfect size to fit into an A2 size envelope.  I cut the cloud again in white and stitched around the edges with my sewing machine before adhering it to the card base.

I can't get enough of the hot air balloon from Emma's Fly Away With Me stamps and dies!  To make this I first die cut it in purple cardstock.  I then stamped the coordinating image on the die cut and on brown and lavender cardstock.  I cut the lavender balloon into pieces and then stamped alternating patterns from Emma's Build a Banner Kit, using PTI's Royal Velvet ink.  After inking all of the edges, I adhered the pieces and the brown basket to the purple die-cut.

The sweet stitched clouds are also included in the Fly Away With Me die set, and the sentiment is from Fly Away With Me Sentiments.

My Pink Design Team Monthly Project! - Episode~75

Good Morning! Welcome to another My Pink Design Team monthly project! The pink DT was to make a Critter/Animal theme project, so this is what I came up with! I've ALWAYS LOVED this CUTE little snail from Create a Critter cart! I also used MPS stamp from "More Punny-licious" which BTW, is a GREAT set! The stamped face is from, of course, a set from Peachy Keen Stamps which is called "Cutie Pie face Asst"! Lets get to the video so you can see how I designed my card using my Gypsy Girl!;)

Happy Birthday Angel! - Episode~39

Good Morning!! 1st of all, I want to THANK EACH & EVERYONE OF YOU for making me hit 100,000 hits on my blog yesterday!! whoohooo!! I am inviting you back here tomorrow, same time~same place for a little surprise!!

Okay, now, today is a VERY SPECIAL day~ it is Angel (my Baby Girl's) Birthday today! Angel is "4" years old!! She is such a Princess! Her & I stick together since we are the ONLY Women in our house! lol..

So, since Scrappy made his cameo on camera for his birthday last week, I wanted to make sure Angel had her moment Also!! She is the SWEETEST & MOST LOVABLE doggy I've ever had! Anyways, I wanted all of YOU to meet her & I wanted to share this 8x8 scrapbook page I had made for her using my Gypsy!  I kept this video very minimal because I wanted to go to bed at a decent hour tonight!! lol..... My Sweet One! - Episode~38

Good morning my blogging friends! I really liked how today's card came out! I wasn't sure at 1st, then I was happy with the outcome! I designed this card using my "Buddy" Gypsy, & I did a lot of welding! I tried something that should not have worked, but I was determined to make it work!! Check out my video to see how this cutie patootie card was made! I got to use Peachy Keen's newest release "Princess Face Asst" & can I just say that I LOVE this set! This set REALLY makes all of my Princesses stand out even More!

Okay, now to today's CUTE project!! I am just LOVING this BRAND NEW stamp set from Peachy Keen "Princess Face Assortment"! It was made to work PERFECTLY w/your "Once Upon A Princess" cartridge! I wanted to make this CUTE little Angel for a long time now, so as soon as I received these ADORABLE stamps, this was a green light for me!  I thought she would look sooo sweet in a cloud, so that's exactly how I designed this card using my BEST BUDDY, my Gypsy! I also used MPS "Family & Friends" stamp set, but altered it a little to make the PERFECT sentiment for my card!  I hope you enjoy my video showing how my sweet card was made!!

GOOD MORNING!! Welcome to day "4" of my birthday week!!:) I can't believe there are only 2 days left of my "Special" week! Okay, today's project was something I came up with earlier today! I wanted to use the cute little face that had the glasses on from Peachy Keen's "Critter Faces". He was cut out @ 2 1/4" & I think he came out ADORABLE!! Happy Mother's Day! - Episode~29

Hello my blogging friends! I can't believe that I always wait until the last minute to do everything! For some reason, I work better under pressure!!  You don't even want to know what time it is right now! lol..... We are celebrating Mother's Day tomorrow w/my family so I had to make sure my gifts were done before tomorrow & I think they came out pretty cute! I am SOOO HAPPY that Peachy Keen's Mother's Day stamp set had all the right stamps I needed to complete my projects tonight! I only did a video for one of the projects, because I already made similar projects for Teacher's gifts! 1st Teacher Appreciation Gift - Episode~27

Hello my blogging friends! Okay, here is the Teacher Appreciation gift for Anthony's teacher, Mr. Viss! Good thing he doesn't follow my blog otherwise this wouldn't be a surprise! So, this will be his present, w/the card Anthony made him & a gift card to "Ghiradelli Choclate Factory" so he can enjoy some DELICIOUS ice cream on us! He is a GREAT teacher~ Baby Aaron had him also! Financial times were a little better back then  because we were able to collect $$$ from all the kids in the class & we got enough to send him & his wife to San Francisco for a day! We got him tickets to see the Giants play baseball & a gift card to a GREAT restaurant near the ballpark!  This year, I felt bad about asking the kids to chip in for one big gift, so I decided everybody can be on their own! It actually worked out better, less work for me!;)

Okay, tomorrow is the last day for teacher gifts! I will be making Baby Aaron's! Whew, good thing we decided not to have that 3rd kid!!! lol.....So check back here tomorrow for another & last teacher appreciation project!! Have a GREAT night my friends!;)

Teacher Card! - Episode~25

Good morning my blogging friends! I filmed this video lastnight for a couple of viewers who had questions about using the markers w/the gypsy & they wanted to see me actually cutting from the gypsy to my cricut! I usually don't show how I cut anything out on camera, because, I only have 10 minutes for my video & I mainly want to focus on teaching different techniques that this little AMAZING machine can do! I want to use my Gypsy to it's fullest potential, that's why I am constantly using it & teaching myself how to use it better! So for my card today, it is a "Teacher Apprection" card for Anthony's teacher! He wanted me to make a card that he can color in! So this was the PERFECT opportunity to use the markers in my cricut! Anthony was SO excited that he got to use my "Stampin up Pastels" chalks & my "Copics" to color in his card! It was sooo cute watching him because he is such a Perfectionist that he reminded me of "ME"! As soon as he was done coloring, he said "Something's Missing" that's what "I" say ALL the time!! lol.... So he wanted me to write that he was "Grateful" for his teacher, THEN I remember about that stamp set from PTI!! I think it came out ADORABLE & Anthony did an AWESOME job!!! I hope you enjoy it also as much as I did! :) I am a PROUD MOMMY!

Anthony wanted me to take a picture of his card "BEFORE" he decided to outline it & add the "Grateful" stamp! He wanted to have a "Before" & "After" picture! lol....

Here is his "AFTER"! Now my son was happy with the finished card!:)
