GOOD MORNING & welcome to another "Try Me Tuesday"! For today, my team & myself are making cards that have a window! So, I decided to do a double duty post! ;) I am taking the "Water Color Online Class" right now & there was a little homework to be done! ;) So I thought it would be fun to incorporate one of the watercolor techniques I learned today with my window card! You can see in my video below exactly how this card came together.
For this card I used the Hero Arts Water color paint wheels! I really think this little watercolor set is AWESOME & it was VERY economical in price! I used the die & sentiments from my set "And then Some!" I learned this particular technique from Miss Jennifer Rzazsa'a instructional video from the class this morning. She taught us how to incorporate your stencils using our watercolors! I used a chevron stencil from Heidi Swapp! You can see it better in my video below!
These next 2 cards do not have windows, they are my 2 additional cards I made for my "homework"! ;) This pretty colorful one is actually using Tim Holtz distressed ink pads! I just followed the directions that Miss Lauren Bassen gave in her instructional video today! She directed us to take your acrylic block, ink it up, then spray it w/water, then stamp it onto your card stock! So I used a small square acrylic block to make my pattern using the distress ink pads from Tim Holtz: Peacock Feathers, Picked Rasberry, Mustard Seed & Spiced Marmalade! The little ampersand is a die that I will be releasing later this month! The words came from my set "And Then Some"! I used white Hero arts embossing powder for the words & then just popped up the "&" sign w/some pop dots!
This last card was from Miss Kristina Werner's instructional video! It is a embossing resist technique using water colors! I used my small background stamp "Script Type Backgrounds" along w/my "Label Font" stamps! I heat embossed my background using the Hero arts white embossing powder. I used the Sakura Koi Water Colors for this card!
Here is my video showing how I made my window card!
