Designer Challenge~ Color Challenge

GOOD MORNING my sweet friends & welcome to another Designer Challenge!
Unfortunately I don't have anything for you today :(  It was my boys 1st day back to school yesterday so when they came home, "I" had homework! lol….. After I filled out emergency forms, I "WAS" on my way to my craft room, then my boys reminded me that they needed a few more school supplies, WHICH I thought I would do on the weekend, but of course they NEEDED them today!
So there went my crafty plans & off to Target we went! ;) It was fine because that is ONE THING I LOVE shopping for is school supplies! By the time we got back last night, it was too later & I was EXHAUSTED! I swear every year when it's time for my boys to go back to school after being home w/me all summer, I go through this depression mode on the first day of school that lasts until I get to pick them up! WIERD…. I know, but I just can't help it! They are getting older so fast that I just want hold on & cherish each moment w/them because I know they will be going off to college & THEN WHAT WILL I DO…...??? Pretty pathetic… but that is how my heart feels. I'm pretty sure lots of you feel the same way! ;)

Okay, enough jibber jabber… we have a FUN "Colorful" challenge for you today!

  1. Superb creations for today's blog! Wow your kids go back to school very early compared to here. We have a couple weeks before school starts yet but good thing for me is I home-school my daughter :)

  2. Hi Miss Emma and a Good Morning 2 U!! OHHHH I remember those back to school shopping days I so miss them you are definitely right about enjoying it all.....gosh your kids went back to school so early her in MI our kids don't go back to school til Sept 2nd. Enjoy your day and craft away!!
Love always the stories you share about your time with your baby boys....always gives me the warm fuzzies.......YOU R A GREAT MOM!!!

  3. Miss Emma I have raised 6 boys and let me tell you it goes fast!!! I am sending my youngest to college in a week and I'm already depressed. He will be only 2 1/2 hours away, but still he won't be here in the house. He is a home body too, working all the time. I will be crying all the way home on the 16th I can tell you that! You would think that after raising 6 boys I would be glad to have an empty nest, but I'm not. I've had kids under my roof for over 30 years, what will I do with myself?!!! So I feel your pain and depression, so enjoy every minute of your boys because they grow up way to fast. The DT did a great job with the color challenge!!! Hugs, Brenda

  4. Hoping the boys had a GREAT first day of school!! Mine are home with me for one more month and then I will have 2 in the middle school.... sad day for me :(
Gorgeous cards by everyone!! LOVE this color combo!!!!

  5. Emma ~ you are so flipping sweet and such a GREAT mom! I bet they had a WONDERFUL first day and were excited to see you when they got home! I am trying to cram too much in the last few weeks before school starts. With baseball tournaments this summer I feel like Rye had no summer! It's exhausting but so worth it!!!! The team did yet another AMAZING job and CONGRATS to the winner too!

  6. Amazing creations once again by everyone! I hope you boys had a great first day back! Boy, I remember those days AND believe me they go FAST! Cherish the moments Emma..seriously, you will look back one day and say where did the years go? They fly fast especially when they are little. My baby is getting married in 2 wks!!! I am SO happy but sad at the same time I want to keep my kids to myself..... a little selfish ha, lol!! I watch my children start their own lives and build their own families and let me tell you, it is really bitter sweet especially when the grandchildren come....I wouldn't want it any other way!
    Have a super day!
    Big hugs my friend!
    Sherrie K

  7. Hi Emma,
I'm so excited that I was the winner of the color challenge this week!
I'm sure your house is feeling a bit empty this week with the boys back at school. You are doing a great job with them. It is clear from their smiles that they are very happy kids. They are lucky to have you as a mom!

  8. Congrats Leslie and Cynthia! Have fun with your MCT goodies.
Oh Emma my friend I totally understand. I felt the same way each year. I am a teacher so I am blessed to have my summers off. When my daughter was younger I cherished those summers off so we could hang out together. I never could understand the parents who dreaded summer because their kids would be home all day. Still can't to be honest. Fast forward...because sweetie it really does go fast. My daughter is grown and working so I have a lot of time to myself in the summer. I have been filling it with lots of crafting. I declared this my Craft-cation summer. lol.
So sweetie ENJOY every minute. Appreciate the time you have with those precious boys. And it is NOT weird at all. You are their Momma and you love being with them plain and simple.
It does my heart good to hear parents appreciate the time they are blessed to get to spend with their wonderful children. They are a blessing not everyone gets to experience. So go ahead and enjoy every minute of your sweet blessings.
Oh I do LOVE your challenges. It gives me an excuse to get out all my MCT babies to play.

  9. Emma,

Yay! Thank you so much! I'm so excited to be a winner! I can't wait to create with my new goodies!

I have to say as a teacher, we do understand that the first week of school is often more work on the parents than it is on the kids. Forms, forms, forms! There has to be an easier way, huh? Well, I hope your kiddos are enjoying their first week. As much as one enjoys the first week of school at that age anyway. ;)

  10. Congratulations to the winners! Enjoy your goodies! The Design Team did an awesome job on their challenge projects. Also a few are having fun making beautiful cards with the online classes. Love it!
