MCT "Cook~n~Craft"

GOOD MORNING my sweet friends & welcome back to another "Cook~n~Craft". 

I am SUPER HAPPY about today because my team & I are sharing a project of our choice along with one of our FAVORITE recipes!

First up, here is my card I made today! :)  Since it is raining in some parts of our world, I thought this was the perfect card for someone who is under the weather.  I colored in my umbrella using my FAVORITE "Zig Clean Color Brush" markers!"  These are my FAVORITE markers because you can get EVERY color for around 10ish, which was way more affordable for me.  I REALLY tried to grow my copic collection, but realized that there was NO WAY I would be able to afford EVERY copic color, so I just stuck with the handful of colors I already had & purchased my ZIG markers!  The brand of watercolor paper I used was CANSON .

I REALLY LOVE how my card came out! :)

Okay, now onto a couple of my FAVORITE recipes I am enjoying right now! :) 

First is my "Protein Pancakes" that I have made for my boys this summer! I would have these ready for them when they came back from their workouts every morning!  They either had it BEFORE or after each daily workout.  These are SOOO YUMMY & not to mention these are VEGAN & they are guilt free pancakes! :) You can see recipe below this picture.

Protein Pancakes

~ one ripe banana

~ 1 tsp vanilla extract

~ 2 tbls coconut nectar or maple syrup
~ 1 1/4 cup oat flour
~ 1 tsp baking powder
~ 1 tbls flaxseed meal
~ 1 scoop protein powder (I use THIS one)
~ 1 1/4 cup almond milk or any other non-dairy milk

If you do not have oat flour, you can just blend up some regular oats! Throw everything in the blender, then cook them! :)  SUPER EASY & SUPER YUMMY  Now, you can totally omit the protein powder & have these without it & they would STILL be YUMMY! :) 

For my boys, I would give them a green smoothie with their pancakes!  I make sure they have ALL the nutrition they need especially after their high intensity workouts! ;)

I also enjoyed the pancakes along with my boys, but I made a "Matcha Green Tea Latte" for me! ;)
I LOVE this stuff because there are several health benefits! Here are just a few:

~ high in antioxidants
~ boosts memory & concentration
~ increases energy levels & endurance
~ burns calories
~ detoxifies the body
~ fortifies the immune system
~ improves cholesterol

Now, there are a few more health benefits, but these are the ones that are important to me!

Matcha Green Tea Latte
~ 1 tsp Match Green Tea Powder (I use THIS one)
~ 1 tsp Pumpkin Spice Powder
~ Maple Syrup to sweeten
~ 1/4 - 1/2 cup hot water
~ 1/2 cup of almond milk (or any non-dairy milk)

I just blend everything together in my nutra bullet & it comes out nice & frothy! ;)  Last I just add a few shakes of cinnamon on top~!  This is perfect with my protein pancakes!  Now, keep in mind, you don't have to follow this recipe to the tee! Feel free to adjust it to YOUR liking!

MCT "Thoughtful Thursday!"

GOOD MORNING my sweet friends & welcome to another "Thoughtful Thursday!"

Today is the day that my team & I create cards with a particular person in mind that we want to send it off to. 

Unfortunately a young lady who went to my boys high school had passed away suddenly earlier this week :(  My boys did not know her to well, but it was still heartbreaking because no one should have to bury their own child :(  She was only 16 years young.  Even though we did not know her personally, we still attended her vigil last night at the highschool.  It was pretty rough seeing her friends say such nice things about her & it was a very emotional evening for everyone. 

Her favorite color was purple & it was nice to see SO MANY purple balloons let go last night.

I decided to make a card to send to her Mom.  I can't even imagine what she is going through right now :(  I just want to show my support & let her know that her family is in our thoughts & prayers. 

I hope you like my card, I did list the products I used for my card today below.

I forgot to mention what markers I've been using for coloring lately!  I used my Zig Clean Color Brush markers which I just LOVE! :)

MCT "Weird Holiday" Tuesday!

HELLO my sweet friends & welcome to another "Weird Holiday" for the month of March!  You can see all the "Weird Holidays" HERE for this month! 

For my card today, I decided to go with the holiday that happens to fall on Wednesday, March 8th, which is tomorrow & that is "Women's Day".  Apparently Italy celebrates this day & I LOVE it! ;) 

So I thought it would be cute to use this set called "You're My Lucky Charm" for this adorable girl!  Then the sentiment could not be perfect!  You can see in my video how I put my card together!

Cook -n- Craft

GOOD MORNING my sweet friends & welcome back to another "Cook-n-Craft!"

First off, I hope you all had a FABULOUS weekend!  I wanted you all to know that I did have a video planned for you for this card, but as soon as I started filming, my camera fell because the tripod broke :(  One of the legs broke off.......just my luck!  LUCKILY my trustee Amazon will have one delivered to me TODAY!!! YEP, I just LOVE their one day FREE shipping! It sure does pay to be an Amazon Prime member! ;)

Well, my card is pretty self explanatory!  I literally finished this card in 20 minutes!  I listed the items I used below!  Since today had to do with food, I thought this card was appropriate! :)

Okay, now onto my recipe for today! :)

"Portabello Pizza"

Okay, I KNOW this does not look appetizing, but I PROMISE you.....it is SOOOO YUMMY!  Also I will work on taking better pictures of my food! :) 

Since every Friday we have pizza, I wanted to switch my pizza up! I usually purchase a vegan pizza dough from Trader Joe's, but since I had these HUGE portabello mushrooms on hand, I decided to use this for my pizza crust! 

First I cleaned up my mushroom, then put it in my oven at 350 degrees for around 15 minutes! While that was roasting, I grilled some onions, garlic, zucchini & grape tomatoes! After 15 minutes, I took my mushroom out of the oven, then I just added some leftover tomato sauce that I had in the fridge!  I just seasoned it with some pink salt & italian seasonings.  Next I topped it with all the grilled veggies, then put it back in the oven for around 10 minutes.  After 10 minutes, I took it out & added my favorite Nutritional Yeast & drizzled some YUMMY balsamic vinegar on top! That was the secret ingredient that MADE this the BEST EVER!!! :) Like I said, it does not look good, but it was SOOO GOOD that I made myself another! I had NO guilt because it is ALLLL veggies that are GOOD for your soul! ;) hehehe!

Trending Now "Spring Fling" with watercolor!

GOOD MORNING my sweet friends & welcome back to another "Trending Now!"

Today we are doing a "Spring Fling" theme of cards with some watercoloring!  

Okay, before I get started, I do have to admit that I wrote the schedule wrong in my planner! :(   I had it being "thoughtful Thursday!" lol...

SOOOOO, in my video below,  just pretend I didn't say it was Thoughtful Thursday! ;) 

After I discovered that I made an error, I found a way to salvage this card!  If you look at my 3rd picture of this card, this is the original way I created it!  So after consulting with my DT member Miss Kim, she advised me to just add water coloring around the flower! She's a genius....! :) 

I know it's not very bright & pretty, but I actually LOVE the way it looks with the subtle blue-ish watercolor background!  You can see in my video below how I put this card together!  You do not see me doing the water color portion because I discovered my mistake AFTER the video was done & already uploaded!

I was SUPER HAPPY that I was able to sneak into my craft room & whip up this card for you last night!  The inspiration for my card was actually this new release!  I couldn't wait to use those Curly Frames with the Mini Bunny Dies!  The sentiment is from the Favorite Bunny set! I just LOVE how this release all works so well together! :)  I also used my FAVORITE Thank You & Frame Dies set & it all meshed together perfectly! :)  You can see the links to all the products I used below this pic! :) I forgot to mention that I just used copic markers to make the grass! :)
