Thrifty Thursday w/a Sketch!

GOOD MORNING my sweet friends & welcome to another "Thrifty Thursday!" Today we have a twist to go along w/our scraps! YEP, we challenged ourselves to use this sketch below that our very own "Miss Liz" created for us! We were ALL to use our scraps & make something using this sketch & I think it's safe to say that we ALL pulled it off! ;) 

Here is a picture of my scraps that I used for my card! 

Here is my card I made~! Let's just say that this card was "ALMOST" a tragedy BUT, I was able to salvage it! lol…… I basically added everything on to my card & thought it was too "white", so I decided to ink it up! WELL……I inked up the edges w/shabby shutters & peeled paint ink & it came out HORRIBLE :( Sooooo, I grabbed my mini mister & sprayed water onto the edges with out thinking that this was NOT watercolor paper! At this point I actually wanted to cry because I did NOT want to do this over! I used my heat gun & dried it but it was ALLL warpy.  After it was dried, it needed something ELSE, so that is when I grabbed my tattered rose ink pad & stamped my Script Type background onto my card in the top right side! Now, it was starting to come together so since the edges still were NOT pretty, I took my distressing tool & distressed the edges & just used glued it straight down onto the base of my card! PHEW, this was a labor of love! hehehehe! :)

Designer Challenge ~ Cassandra

Hello everyone!  This is Cassandra and I'm back to host another Designer Challenge.  Last time I hosted the challenge, the goal was to use the colors of the rainbow.  So this time I decided to change it up a bit.  Are you ready?

The guidelines for this challenge:  Make a project of your choice using only BLACK & WHITE!  eek!  That's right ~ no color, just black and white cardstock, embellishments, fibers, photos, etc.  

This past weekend, I hosted a Bridal Bunch for my BFF and this was the pretty card I made for her.  

I cut the scalloped square with my Cameo and a file from the Silhouette Online Store.  The pretty hearts are cut using the heart die from the MCT ~ 100% Sweetness.  The "For your Wedding Shower" sentiment is from the MCT ~ More Gift Card Sentiments.  The label is from the MCT ~ Vintage Stitched Label Dies.  I cut the wedding dress with my Cameo and a file from the Silhouette Online Store.

July Release Sneak peak #1

GOOD MORNING my creative friends AND welcome to our first day of sneak peeks for our HUGE July release!
 ALL NEW RELEASE ITEMS ARE AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ORDER HERE!

Okay, I don't know about you, but I have been SOOO INSPIRED by all of these amazing "Filofax's" out there today, so I decided to create my "own version" of it!;)  I thought ALL of my new products would be PERFECT for this!  At first I really wanted to create this by using a chipboard back & cover, but then I came across this planner from Target! Yep, there is a special section w/products you can purchase & "12 meals are provided for children + families across America"! With that said, I immediately thought that I would use this as my cover & replace all the pages inside w/my very own! I wanted to show my support & that is why I kept the "Feed 12" on the cover & just decorated it w/some canvas stickers!

When you first open my Filofax, you will see this adorable "Hipster Kitty" stamp. It is SOOO ME & you KNOW I will have my coffee in hand while I am journaling & making notes in my new best friend (my filofax)! ;) 

I wanted to create a divider in between each category, so I stamped & heat embossed (using clear Ranger embossing powder) a "Pretty" background stamp onto some vellum paper from Papertrey inc! (my FAVORITE vellum paper out there today!)

Here I made some handmade file folders for each day of the week! I thought it would be fun to make folders to make any notes OR things to do & even my grocery list! ;)  (I am SOOO HAPPY for myself for making this)!!  The days of the week stamp come from the new "Tab Notes"!  They stamp perfectly onto our NEW "Stitched Tab Dies".

Here is another CUTE divider to separate the days of the week from my calendars!

I just LOVE how this came out! I explain in my video how I messed up the calendars & how I fixed it w/o doing them all over! :)

After each month I made a pocket for important notes/dates/birthdays...etc....

You can also see in my video the CUTE little dry erase board I found at my Office Depot! 

These blank pages, clear pouches are the only thing I kept in here!  Since this is a 6 monther, I thought I would add a "holiday" tab for my Christmas lists! When this year is over, then I can switch it out w/something else!

I put one of the canvas stickers from the CTMH "My Reflections Claire" paper pack on the spine of the book to dress it up a little! 

Back of book! That sticker is also from the CTMH "My Reflections Claire" paper pack.  I am SOOO HAPPY to start using my new handmade (my version) of my very own 'filofax'! ;) I LOVE IT!

 Here is my "Weight Loss Journey" Project Life style! ;)

 I LOVE LOVE LOVE the 8x8 pages WAY BETTER than the 12x12! That is just MY opinion only. It "may" be because I LOVE to do 8x8 layouts & not 12x12? maybe? less work? lol.... Just  incase you are wondering what "130" means.....it's actually my "Goal Weight" which I WILL get to one day! ;) 

All the pattern paper, cardstock & canvas stickers I used are all from the CTMH "My Reflections Claire" paper pack!

You can see how I used the new 4x6 die here! I used the 2 stickers on it from the same paper collection.

Doesn't that "Week 1" look AWESOME?  I just LOVE my new dies! ;)

I already made my pages for the rest of the month! All I have to do is add my journaling & my picture OR whatever I want!;)  This is an AWESOME way to use up all of your favorite 12x12 paper pads/packs!
