DT Call Extension, A Guest Designer AND an EASY Gift Card holder Gift!

GOOD MORNING my sweet creative friends! WOW, it sure has been SUPER BUSY around here for me lately! I am looking forward to Christmas break w/my boys! We are going to have FUN! ;) Well, today I have a few things to touch base on! First off, I've had several emails regarding my Design Team call, so I decided to extend it to this Friday, December 20, 2013 @ midnight PST! YEP, the design team call WILL END this Friday, 12/20/13 @ midnight PST! So, if you missed out, here is your golden opportunity to enter your submissions! Here is the information:

I am looking for designers who are enthusiastic & have a passion for what we all LOVE to do....."CRAFT"! I am also looking for positive & outgoing designers who LOVE to create with My Creative Time products! I have to choose a select amount of designers to showcase my products and really bring out its best features. Because of this , I am requesting that should you be chosen as a member of my DT, you not join or currently be serving as a design team member for any other competitive stamp companies. If you are currently on a competitive team, but your term ends within this time frame, please let me know when your term ends, so if you are selected there is no conflict of interest. Thank you for your understanding!

~You will need to have an active blog & also be able to share your MCT creations not only on your blog but on facebook or any social media....etc~!

~ It will be a 6 month term

~ You will be making an average of 8-10 projects a month which consists of regular design team projects along with releases

~ All designers will receive any NEW stamps & dies and will receive a discount for you to use for any of my products you do NOT own yet! ;)

***How to Apply***

~ Email your submissions to me (Emma) at 2014dtcall@gmail.com
~The deadline for you to submit your entry is December 20, 2013 at midnight PST!

~ Please include in your email, your blog address & a current list of DT's you are on.

~ Please attach 3 projects: (1) card, (1) layout/project life or smashbook page & (1) 3-D project.
~ Your projects must be NEW & escpecially for this DT call

~ If you have any MCT products, I would LOVE for you to showcase them, if not, just use what you have!

All new designers will be contacted by email and the new team will be announed on January 1st, 2014!

Next up, here is a SUPER SIMPLE Gift Card Holder I did for both of my boys' teachers! Since BOTH boys have more than one teacher, I had to REALLY "THINK" of an EASY project for them to give to their teachers that can EASILY fit into their ALREADY crowded back packs w/o getting ruined! So, here is what I came up with! You can see EXACTLY how I created this in my video!

I closed the envelope using some washi tape by My Mind's Eye "Mistletoe Magic"

GOOD MORNING my sweet creative friends! I hope you are ALL keeping warm. I can't believe we are in the 20's & 30's, which is rare for CA! It's been cold like this before, but it would usually ONLY last for a few days then go back to normal! Not this time…lol…. I found some hand warmers & toe warmers at Walgreen's for my boys & they have GREATLY APPRECIATED it! ;) They make a HUGE difference especially when Anthony's baseball games are in this cold….BRRRR!

Five Days of Christmas Day 5!

Hello & welcome to our "5" Days of Christmas"! This week we will be sharing w/you LOTS of last minute Christmas ideas, such as cards, layouts, home decor, 3-D items & what ever else comes to mind that will help YOU get your juices flowing for the holiday! There will be a giveaway each day & a winner will be announced each day! Example, winner of Monday will be announced on Tuesday, winner of Tuesday will be announced on Wednesday.....and so on!

Well, I am sad to see this week end :( But, the "upside" about it to me is that I can FINALLY REST! ;)

Today, I made 3 EASY projects for you! The first is a treat using our NEW "Squared Stitched Goody Die"! Doesn't it look SOOO PRETTY w/the stitched outline around the candy? This is my FAVORITE EVER!!!

The tiny hearts are from my new "4x4 Journal & More"! I also used the "Fun Stitched Edge" die as well to add color at the bottom of my treat! I used a piece of tinsel that I found in my xmas stash so I can hang it on the tree! :)

Next up, I could NOT WAIT to use our new "Square Stitched Goody Die" to make a card too! I mixed it up w/my new "4x4 Journal Die" & I just LOVE LOVE LOVE how it came out! I added those AWESOME star dies along w/the cutie patootie snowman! ;) As you can see, I created a window w/the square die, & the image is stamped onto the inside of the card!

For my last project, OF COURSE, I made a tag! lol.... For this one, I used the arrow die that came in the "4x4 Journal & More" to make my house in the frame that is ALSO from that 4x4 Journal Die & MORE"! ;) All the paper I used today is from Teresa Collins.

My video will be up this afternoon & I explain how I created all 3 of my projects! ;)

Five Days of Christmas Day 4

Today, I decided to use my We R Memory Keeper Box Punch Board! It was a little "challenging" for me, but I think my boxes came out pretty decent! lol..... I will not be showing how to make this in my video because I am still learning & I want to practice a little more! ;) I just explain everything in my video below! For my first box, it came out exactly how I wanted it to! I was SUPER EXCITED to use my NEW Star dies to make my cute tags for each box! I layered them on top of my rosette die & I LOVE how it came out! Also, my medium bow die works BEAUTIFULLY w/this size box! I made the boxes that called for 8x8 size paper!

Okay, this next box, I have NO IDEA how it came out to be "this" rectangle-ish shape! lol..... Like I said, I had NO IDEA WHAT I was doing, but I just kept it because I was tired of trashing GOOD paper away! ;)

Here you can see how I layered all 3 stars together & I used pop dots to pop them up & just add the teeny tag layering die for my sentiment! I had fun making my little embellished tags for both of these boxes! I think once I practice a little more on how to make these, I KNOW they can be mass produced in "NO TIME" at all!
