SCRAPPING THE LITTLE THINGS~ MCT Sketch

GOOD MORNING my sweet friends & welcome to another "Scrapping the little things!"
First of all, I actually have a video for you today!!!!! I have been super busy w/my boys being off for summer, AND I had my hubby off for 2 weeks w/us as well! I do have to say that we had a very adventurous & AMAZING time together & I was sad to see him go back to work this morning :(
My boys will still have their busy schedule w/another week of Baseball camp & the following weeks before school, we have other FUN stuff planned as well! It will be a VERY BUSY summer & they are enjoying it! :)
Okay, for my layout today, I was SUPER HAPPY to use this sketch that my DT member Miss Liz created for us! I'm not sure about any of you, but I LOVE sketches because it gives me a guideline to work with. My design team & I used this as a base then added our own twists to it & I LOVE how my 8x8 layout came out!
This is the sketch here, you are more than welcome to use it to create a layout of your own today!

So, here is my completed layout! You can see in my video below exactly how I created this. I ended up added the arrows at the end so that is the only part you will not see in the video~!

Thrifty Thursday

Good morning my creative friends & welcome to another "Thrifty Thursday"! Today is the day that my design team & myself make something w/our scraps! I've been playing ALOT w/my valentine paper pads, so I have a lot of pieces EVERYWHERE on my craft table!  I decided to use those as scraps for this card!
This should've been an A2 sized card, but my scrap of vellum was not big enough! The card sized ended up being a little shy of 4 inches wide & 4.25 inches from top to bottom.
You can see in my video below exactly how I put my card together!

Thrifty Thursday

GOOD MORNING & welcome to another "Thrifty Thursday"! If you are new to my blog, we alternate our Thursdays & make projects using all of our SCRAPS! For today, I made another tag using the 'my favorite stamp of the month' "Mixed Holiday Sentiments"! I LOVE this stamp set because it covers Halloween, Thanksgiving, Fall, Christmas & even New Year's! If you just need ONE stamp set to get you through the holidays, then this is the one for you!
I had picked up some Fringe Scissors to do a project w/my son & I couldn't wait to use them on a crafty project! I was watching a cool video by Miss Heidi Swapp HERE & she shows us a few fun different ways on how & what to make w/these scissors! On one of her projects she made a ribbon using the fringe scissors & I LOVED it! Soooo, that is exactly what I did here on my tag! Of course, it isn't as pretty as hers was, but I still like how it came out! After I glued the fringe behind my circle die, I decided to layer it onto my rosette die! Then I used my med. stitched bow die, cut off the scallops to make the bottom part look like a ribbon! I had some scraps of that AWESOME burlap paper left, so I used my tag die, cut it out & adhered everything down using hot glue just to make sure it didn't go no where! ;) To make my tag a little sturdier, I cut another tag using a thicker card stock, then adhered it in the back of the burlap tag w/zip dry glue just to give it more support! I decided to add a few silver sequins so it could go w/my silver bell die! Instead of using black ink to stamp my sentiment, I used 'watering can' ranger ink so it won't look so harsh!

Here is one more pic of my tag so you can see all the fun dimension!

Supplies used:
~ Blue pattern paper (my scraps)
~ May Arts Ribbon
~ Blue hemp twine
~ Warm Holiday Fun (bell)

Well, I hope you were all inspired to use YOUR SCRAPS to create something SUPER CUTE!
Well, I "thought" I was going to get to do a video today, but that didn't happen :( I do have GOOD NEWS, my boys are almost caught up w/ALL their homework that they missed when they were out last week! Even though some of the teachers emailed them the homework, they still have more!
Anyways, THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for stopping by & I hope you have a FABULOUS day my sweet creative friends! xoxo

P.S. Don't forget to play along w/our "Thanksgiving Challenge" that is going on right HERE!

Also, we are having a design team call for the new year! You can see details HERE!

3D Wednesday

Good morning my sweet creative friends & welcome to another 3-D Wednesday!  Today I have a SUPER CUTE project for you! I saw these adorable little jars at Hobby Lobby & thought these would look cute on your table at each place setting for Halloween! What a SUPER FUN little treat for your guests! I put some candy corn M&M's inside (my fave) ! ;)  Remember those straws I also picked up from Hobby Lobby? well, here they are again w/my rosette die & a Trick or Treat banner! I was SO HAPPY that my felt finally arrived & I couldn't wait to use my orange zest color to make a super cute bow w/my new bow die!

Here it is in its entirety!

Here is a side view of how adorable this little jar is that I found at Hobby Lobby! It's only about 3 1/4 inches tall! A PERFECT little treat to set on your table at each place setting!
