MCT 48th Edition Release Sneaky Peeks Day #1

GOOD MORNING my sweet friends & welcome to our 1st day of our 48th Edition Sneaky Peeks!!!

I am SUPER EXCITED to share w/you some FUN new stamps & dies this week! For our first sneaky peek, we are showcasing a new stamp & die set "Friendships Are Forever!"  This set has a total of 15 stamps & 2 coordinating dies! 

I thought this was a PERFECT addition to our collection because you cannot have enough friend cards…right?  This set is PERFECT to whip up some CUTE & FAST cards!

First up is a tag I made using one of the new sentiments in this set! I LOVE that we can color in the letters to match the colors we use! I also used 2 of my existing die sets I have out already which are the "Tag Dies" & "Pretty Butterflies & Dragonfly Die Set!" 

For my next card, I wanted to show you all how this set would work GREAT with my existing set I have already "All You Need is Coffee!"  I thought it would be cute to hang the little coffee cup from the letter s! 

For my last card, the sentiment with the friend die is from this new set!  I also incorporated 3 existing sets I have out already which are "Chunky Jar Accessories", "Fun Stitched Edge Dies" & "Stitched Rectangular Dies & More".  I just LOVE that you can used this NEW set & coordinate w/a lot of my existing sets that you probably own already! ;)

Throwback Thursday "Do Over" & my homework for Clean & Simple 4 online card class day 3

GOOD MORNING my sweet friends & welcome to our first Throwback Thursday "Do Over".

This is a NEW segment we will be doing on our blog! I think it's an AWESOME idea! :)  

Basically what we need to do is make over a project from the past & post the before & after pic! Well, to be honest w/you ALL….I "THINK" I did mine wrong!!! lol….. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to use the doggie again….but I just RE-DID the entire card! I just did a WHOLE NEW MAKE OVER! hahahaha!  After seeing my design team's before & after pics….that's when I realized….'houston, we have a teensy problem!!!'  hehehe! 

Well, here is my "original" card!  To be honest, I think I like my ORIGINAL card BETTER!!!! LOL…..

Okay, what I ALSO incorporated with my card was the technique I learned from one of the teachers, the TALENTED Miss Karolyn Loncon from the online card class!  She did this FUN stamping technique that I HAD to try! I explained in my video below exactly how I created it!

Trending Now Thursday ~ Wood & Lace!

GOOD MORNING my sweet friends & welcome to another "Trending Now"! 

I was able to sneak in my craft room while my boys were both napping! They are still under the weather, but getting a little better! THANK YOU for your get well wishes for them! ;) 

Okay for our cards today, we have incorporated some kind of lace & wood! It didn't necessarily have to be actual "wood", some of us also used a woodgrain background as well!

For my card, I was able to wipe the dust off of my veneer wood paper I had picked up from Joann's about 4 or 5 years ago! lol…. I was holding on to it & just KNEW I would use it eventually! ;) I LOVE this stuff because this material cuts w/my dies BEAUTIFULLY! I couldn't find a link to this particular paper, but thanks to my team member Miss Nikki, found some HERE if you want to try it out! 

I LOVE this stuff because you can also heat emboss it too! I'm not sure if you can see it or not,  but I used my Grainy Wood Background stamp & heat embossed it onto that piece of veneer wood that everything is layered on top of! I used a embossing powder from WOW -Vintage Champagne & you can find it HERE!

TRY ME TUESDAY

Good morning my sweet friends & welcome to another "Try Me Tuesday"! For today a few of my design team members & myself made some Washi Tape Twist Ties! I show you in my video how easy they are to make!  First up, I made a card using one of the new techniques I learned on day 7 of the "Stretch Your Stamps 2" class HERE!  I show you in my video below EXACTLY how I stamped my card! I just LOVE learning new things because I get bored VERY EASILY! ;) 

Okay, here is what my Washi Tape Twist Tie looks like! Luckily I had some washi tape on hand to match my card set I made!

I used my home made twist tie to close up this set of cards I made as a gift for some one! I thought it would be extra cute to add a tag w/some twine to finish it off!

INSPIRATION WEDNESDAY

GOOD MORNING my sweet friends & welcome to another "Inspiration Wednesday!" For today, my inspiration came from this class HERE "Stretch Your Stamps 2".  You still have PLENTY of time to sign up! I am SO INTRIGUED w/this class because it shows that you can get so much MORE out of your stamps! For my first card, I used one of the techniques that Miss Laura Sterckx showed in her video in class yesterday!  This is a technique that I've wanted to try for some time now & I am HAPPY that I FINALLY did! It is called an "Ombre" background! For this technique, I heat embossed using clear embossing powder my new Grainy Wood background stamp!  Next I started from the bottom up, using my mini round Tim Holtz tool & started inking my card starting w/Tumbled Glass ink! Next I mixed in Broken China ink & started to blend the ink until it gave me the effect I was looking for! Next I used my Fun Speech Bubbles to stamp the sentiment onto the die cut vellum. Last I made a bow w/hemp twine & added sequins to finish her off! ;)  

Next up, is another technique that I learned from Miss Jennifer McGuire's video from class yesterday! I have used perfect pearls before, but NEVER used it the "correct" way! lol…. I did what Miss Jennifer did & used Versamark ink & stamped my Fun Letter Background onto a piece of black card stock! Next I used purple & a white pearl color powder & pounced it onto my background until I was satisfied w/it! Next I just misted into the air some water & waved my card through it so it can seal itself in! Next I used my heat gun to finish it off! I used my butterfly die & made a window & adhered "smile" from my Happy Thoughts set over the butterfly! Then I layered it onto a white card base, then added the little hearts from my 4x4 Journal Die & More. Last, I used clear wink of stella on the word die & the hearts & added clear glossy accents to them to finish this card off! 

Okay, last….. but CERTAINLY not least!  I dislike WASTING good scraps! ;)  So I decided to make an additional card using the actual butterfly that I cut out of the card above this one! I kept this card REAL simple! I had some white card stock scraps so this is a smaller card! I added the butterfly & the "thanks" word die from my Stitched Message Bubble dies! Then I added a strip of purple card stock & stamped the stripes on it before I adhered it down using my Geo Borders stamp set! Lastly, I added the sequins & I "THINK" this is my FAVORITE card out of all of these today~! ;)
